New Behind the Scenes Photos

At the very end of December 2020, I had the pleasure of working with a fantastic group of people to hang all 365 paintings on a wall in my house. These are paintings I spent an entire year painting to work through grief from the loss of my brother.

By the numbers, the hanging took 12 hours, 260ft of wood, 700 velcro strips, 4500 led lights, 7 people, and one 26 ft scissor lift.

Standing back from the mosaic was crazy emotional and such an amazing moment to share with friends, and especially my wife and kids who have been there from the beginning.

We used this event as the basis for a feature-length documentary that will be coming out later this year, titled “The Art of Grieving”. Here, I’ll be sharing about my own grief experience, the painting for a year, in-depth interviews, and reveal the final mosaic as it’s hanging today.

Sharing the mosaic and the corresponding backlit music show has been an incredible joy and stirred some very insightful conversations with people about grief and healing.

I’ll be sharing the movie poster artwork soon. In the meantime, here’s some behind-the-scenes photos!
