One painting a day. For a year.
To find out what grief becomes.

What you're looking at
The goal was to paint every day exploring the emotions of my grief. The final mosaic has been rearranged to depict what it feels like to move through grief. The black box at the center is the origin of your grief, and the large heatmap of color around it depicts the emotions you move through, while the size of color relative to the black box reflects the growth.
365 individual 8×10" acrylic paintings, created one per day for an entire year following the sudden death of my brother, Colin Zeller, at the age of 35. Each painting was done in an intuitive abstract matter, mainly using acrylic and a variety of other mixed mediums.
